These indicators include both measures of external price competitiveness (the price ratio between domestic and foreign goods in international markets) and internal price competitiveness (the price ratio between tradable and non-tradable domestic goods). All these indices are calculated for each country relative to a base year and constructed such that an increase in the index corresponds to a decline in the country’s price competitiveness.
